THE NEED…

The Hamilton North FC soccer club is seeking volunteers to help our youth soccer development through serving on its soccer board.  You have been exposed to our program and I trust you have enjoyed watching your children participate.  If you’ve ever had questions such as “how did that get done?”,  “how does that work?”, or “why would you do it that way?”, then we need YOU.   Being a part of the soccer board and other roles are great ways to help ensure some wonderful experiences for the 200+ children in our community.  The board is 100% volunteer and requires several people to make it thrive.   If it weren’t for volunteers giving of their time and talents, there wouldn’t be soccer for our children in our community.  Not only can soccer be very rewarding for our children, but as the saying goes, “it is better to give than receive.”  It is very rewarding to help provide those opportunities for our community.  

THE BOARD ROLES…

We are looking for volunteers that are willing to lend their time in the areas of Sponsorships, Marketing, Bookkeeping, Website Maintenance, League Commissioners, Coaching Education, Registrar and General Administration to name a few.  These are all duties are currently being completed by board members and other volunteers.  The current board consists of members which have been serving in various capacities many between 5-8 years.  Most of us started when our kids were young and wanted to be sure they had a great experience, and as a result, we got involved.  Again, it’s been a very rewarding experience.

WHY THE NEED...

In order to ensure the future success of HNFC. Knowledge of the game of soccer is not a requirement to serve.  We all started somewhere and you would be able to begin your journey with the full support of all the roles.   There are various roles and responsibilities documented to make it easy to complete for our volunteers.  The saying is true, “many hands make light work.”   The more people that help, the smoother things run and the better opportunities our children have.  Soccer is a growing sport and we need to be prepared for that growth in our club.    

WHY NOT YOU…

Usually the reason people are hesitant to get involved is because they think they don’t have much to offer or that they don’t have much extra time.  The reality is that we’re all strapped for time, but we give what we can.   So we ask you to consider giving what you can.  If it’s painting fields and putting flags out, then volunteer for that.  If it’s helping organize practice schedules, then volunteer to help there.  If you want to learn coaching, then sign up.  If you have accounting skills or know how to use Quickbooks, then we can use you.  The point is that you don’t have to take a huge role, just raise your hand and tell us that you’re willing to help in some way.
